He held me in arms,
The day i was born,
Said i have luring charms,
And titled me adorn.
Soon i was home,
With a name plate unique,
Built a small lil dome,
It was our antique.
Saw my tiny long fingers,
And small eyes blink,
With a smile that lingers,
And a mind to wink.
Soon he saw me talk,
Watch me Run around to fall,
I’d hold his lil finger to walk,
Every time he stood tall.
He’d see me on vacations each year,
Take me to all places I’d wanna play,
He’d never let me stand a tear,
He’d always watch me through the day.
He’d term me as his first daughter,
To tease his kids soon that we saw,
And trick me on a funny plotter,
Each time, till we see our jaw.
He guides me through my crawl,
And Helps me rise from failure,
He’d teach me how not to befall,
That Anything, can be my saviour.
When he sees me walk around the corner,
With His lil one holding my finger,
He smiles with his heart in murmur,
As sees the memories of him in us linger.
He loved us kids to every end,
Gave us the best we always need,
There couldn’t be any better bend,
We’ve gotten in our life’s creed.
He’s a friend, guide, and a father to me,
I’ve looked up to him in pride mild,
He’s been the best Godfather life can see,
I’ll always be his first Godchild.
