Lush green eyes,
Tiny paws tip-toe every where,
Enveloped in size,
She’s a beauty, I declare!
Reddish pink nose,
As wet as could be,
Beige fur coat till the toes,
This lil’ dog knew me!
She’d snuggle with me,
Be it the night or day,
If dogs run free,
I’d accompany her away.
Outside the kitchen she’d sit,
Looking at me move around,
Waiting to pounce on bones knit,
Her senses were a surround.
She’d tease me in playful beguile,
Sometimes a scarf else socks in her jaw,
I’d never sigh but only smile,
And hi-five her in the paw!
On one voice she’d come back to me,
Wherever she’d be hiding,
I’m sure everyone would agree,
Her charm has always been binding.
It broke my heart when we gave her away,
I could hear it in her cry as well,
A day before the plot we sway,
She lay beside me in silent spell.
Even today I feel her essence,
It brings me a joy when I hear her name,
For it’s Her austere frankincense,
That Has engraved a scar in my frame.
