He needed some help to study,
I offered him all my best,
He seemed restless and muddy,
Yet continued with the rest.
As we spoke on law that day,
He patiently listened in acrimony,
His button flipped on my say,
He screeched when i said alimony.
‘Twas just a thought that i spoke,
Didn’t mean any damage to cause,
He sure as hell did revoke,
This thought led to a slight pause.
He said he found a girl to marry,
It’s been on his mind for awhile,
She’s probably his glimpse canary,
I listened to him with a silent smile.
He conveyed his feelings in simple tune,
Dictated his words to be just right,
I felt like a long lost leaf on the moon,
When he said that I’m his delight.
“Will you spend your life with me?”
He earnestly needed to hear a yes,
I smiled and thought tis is meant to be,
I could hug him and thus confess.
Silence saw us all around then,
He broke the ice and i sensed his joy,
His love spark did embark when,
He made the sweetest proposal ahoy!
