The Photograph

As we see the smile around the walls,

Surrounded in unending glee,

To have the generations photograph,

Mesmerising us in a magical captivity.

Time flies in the blink of an eye,

Little do we remember to look back and pause,

For it’s the small moments that capture us

In the photographs placed high.

Today when we look back in time

It feels like yesterday’s a new born,

While today when we look into the mirror again,

The reflections portray a different song.

It’s never in the big achievements we endure,

Nor is it in the medals we secure,

It’s all hidden in the small priceless smiles we share,

Life has it hidden right there.
