After having pondered on the cakes I’ve seen,
Dressed in White, blue, violet and green!
The mystery unleashed in front of my eyes,
When I took the whisk and began my tries.
The rolling, folding and the knead and mix,
The melt, glaze and the dust and twix,
The batter in chocolate or a vanilla fare,
With nuts and berries make an affair.
And when it bakes inside and i watch it rise,
I know it’s happening in sheer disguise!
While I Patiently await its arrival in time,
My mind waves a tapestry of sweet rhyme.
On the ring of the bell, the oven unveils,
The aromatic bake parts my lips to inhale,
While my eyes scan the glossy outside,
I tremble to get the knife clean from inside.
The fondant, the cream, the layers with icing,
The chocolate strands and cherry dicing,
With sprinkles adding to the final touch,
Oh! It’s heaven in a cake so much.
