Chocolate Cheesecake

Have you seen the whisk go round
In an array of peeks forming a ground

As you blend in the cheese and the cream

You’re gladly baking your sweet tooth dream.

While you mould the biscuit crumb to base

A smile unwinds on your face

Oblivious to the happy card

The chocolate mix is your life guard.

Similar to this is your life everyday

Whisking away to a new birthday

With the good and the bad comes a happy place

Dark as chocolate yet there’s a glow on the face.

When you assemble the cheesecake in to a tray

Setting it into the fridge clearing the mess away

Same is what you do with your life

Sometimes peace and sometimes strife.

As you take a bite of the cheesecake

Oh how your joy makes the heart ache

Lesson learnt starts from the kitchen

The sweetness of the chocolate is what you’re rich in.

Soft as the cream and tough as the crumb

Variety of desserts are yet to come

You’re what you whisk in and take

Versions of a big chocolate cheesecake.
