Yesterday and Today

Yesterday we were pretty and handsome

Today we are bruised and battered

Yesterday our hearts were captured in a mansion

Today all the dreams lay shattered.

Yesterday we couldn’t imagine days without each other

Today we cannot stand one another

Yesterday saw a love so strong that doth smother

Today we are cliffs on rent in asunder.

Yesterday our days were filled with seraphic joy

Today sits upon days of misery

Yesterday nothing could ever destroy

Today we are a clear history.

Yesterday we wanted to talk till no end

Today each other’s voice is poison

Yesterday our words had humour to depend

Today the nostalgia has no reason.

Yesterday we wanted to have a lot of fun

Today we are filled with anguish

Yesterday was a good deal done

Today we need no cherishing to languish.

Yesterday we were the tough sweethearts

Today we are defined as enemies

Yesterday we couldn’t be divided into parts

Today we are separate centuries.

Yesterday we walked extra miles jointly

Today we walk back to avoid each other

Yesterday we were noted as one pointy

Today sees us as opposite runner.

Yesterday we couldn’t bear if one got hurt

Today we hurt and don’t care at all

Yesterday we readily dusted the dirt

Today we intentionally engage into a filthy brawl.

Yesterday we were the best of both worlds

Today we are the worst of all realms

Yesterday endless space was unfurled

Today the distance overwhelms.

Yesterday we were in immense love

Today we are in monumental hatred

Yesterday the clouds were up and above

Today we can’t find anything sacred.
