It is a dark shady morning
I guess even the skies knew
That a family was bitterly mourning
The death of pearl that didn’t construe.
They had no mere warning
Not even a clue of it being around the corner
Destiny knew this was dawning
As cold as it is , it won’t even get any warmer.
To see her beautiful soul lay down
At the most peaceful place
She was a queen in every town
Yet her home was her saving grace.
The famous, the middle group paid their respect
The poor, the rich were all equal today
Her kindness did have a grave effect
Her memories will never fade away.
Relatable ‘Chandni’, her smile was moon lit,
Speaking ‘English-Vinglish’ in her own dialect
She was the spirited ‘Mom’ who didn’t quit
Her ‘Lamhe’ did have the shine reflect.
It is never easy to lose our kin
It is not easy to pretend it’s okay
God’s good meed lies fair within
The nation stands at half mast in prayer.
